Export group conversations and daily chat data
Create a bounded conversation CSV or download separately enabled incremental daily chat files.
Conversation export
Open panel.bow.chat → Groups Monitoring or Group SLAs → SLA reports → Conversation export. The module requires the corresponding account entitlement and report access.
- Select the Inbox and wait for the group list to finish preparing.
- Select a Group, or All groups when that option is enabled.
- Choose From and To within the date limit shown in the panel.
- Click Create export. Preparation runs in the background; use Check status when needed.
- When complete, choose Download CSV. Check the message count, date range and Available until time.
The CSV contains public incoming and outgoing conversation messages, with group, sender, date/time and message text. Private notes, activity entries and media download URLs are excluded. It is a message export rather than an attachment archive.
Limits and availability
The panel shows the permitted date span and applicable allowance. All-group export supports up to 60 inclusive days and three requests per rolling 24 hours under its current standard limits. Single-group limits can differ. Only one conversation export can prepare at a time for an account, and a file is capped at 50,000 message rows.
Requests can consume the allowance even if preparation fails; do not repeatedly create the same export while it is pending. Completed conversation files expire after seven days. Download the file you need before the displayed expiry and store it according to your organization's access and retention rules. An expired file needs a new permitted export.
For an empty group list, confirm the inbox has synced WhatsApp Web groups and let preparation finish. If a job fails or reaches a limit, inspect the error and narrow the period or contact support instead of repeatedly submitting it.
Daily chat data export
Daily chat data is a separate account feature. It exports public incoming and outgoing chats across the account incrementally, beginning from its configured enablement point. It is not an automatic historical backfill or a scheduled staff-performance email.
Open that section to check Next automatic export, its timezone and daily schedule, Manual requests, File retention and Available files. Download each available CSV.gz part. Large runs can be split into several parts.
Use Request export now only when you need an additional incremental run. Standard limits allow three manual requests in a rolling 24 hours; automatic runs do not use that allowance. Daily-export files are retained for 14 days under the current standard configuration; use the panel's displayed settings for your account.

Use Activity reports for staff/day and group/day totals and SLA reports for response and resolution outcomes. These answer different questions from downloading message history.
