Set up Bow Chat
Follow these steps in order. An account is your workspace, an agent is a person who signs in, and an inbox is a connected channel or number. Collaborators are the people allowed into a particular inbox.
- Start your workspace setup.
- Add your first inbox.
- Invite an agent and choose a role.
- Add the agent to the inbox's Collaborators.
- Check access and send a test reply.
Inviting an agent creates their workspace access. You must also add them to each inbox they should work in: Settings → Inboxes → your inbox → Collaborators → select the agent → Update.
Control who sees what
Custom roles control which conversations and contact details an agent can access. Use contact masking when staff should reply without seeing stored customer names, phone numbers or email addresses.
Work with customers
- Daily inbox work: assign conversations, reply, leave private notes and resolve work.
- Choose a channel: WhatsApp, email and Customer Rooms.
- Connect Microsoft 365: mailbox setup and administrator requirements.
- Group operations: monitoring, configuration and staff cover.
- Customer Rooms: setup, customer access and follow-up.
