# Create a WhatsApp campaign

Choose contacts, review an approved template and schedule a WhatsApp campaign through Audience, Message and Schedule.

## Create a campaign your team can follow

Open [Bow Chat Panel](https://panel.bow.chat), choose your organization and open **Campaigns**. The WhatsApp campaign composer uses **Audience → Message → Schedule**. Use the connected WhatsApp Business Platform inbox and approved template appropriate to the people you are contacting.

Your account needs campaign access and an eligible sending inbox. Customer consent, opt-outs, template approval and WhatsApp messaging rules still apply; having a contact record is not permission to send.

## Choose the audience

Select **Filter Bowchat contacts**, **Upload contacts** or **Select CRM contacts**, where the connected workspace makes that option available. Review the selected people rather than assuming every imported row is reachable or eligible.

Uploading a CSV creates or matches contacts in Bow Chat as the import runs. It is not just a preview. Check the created, existing and failed counts, then select the people for this campaign. Use a small reviewed file before importing a large list.

## Choose the message

Select the sending inbox, approved template and language. Map every required variable to the intended contact field or fixed value and review the message preview. Include the required header image, document or other media when the template calls for it.

See [Templates and personalisation](https://docs.bow.chat/campaigns/templates-and-personalisation) for a field-by-field check before continuing.

## Review and schedule

Give the campaign a useful title. Choose **Send now** or **Schedule for later** and check the date and time in your device's timezone. Review the audience, inbox, template, language, variables and any media before confirming.

The final action can send real messages or schedule them. Do not confirm merely to see what happens. After confirmation, open the original campaign and check its state before creating another one if the response was interrupted.

## Continue after sending

Use [Campaign results and replies](https://docs.bow.chat/campaigns/results-and-replies) to distinguish accepted, sent, delivered, read, failed and replied records. Give customer replies an owner in the normal [conversation workflow](https://docs.bow.chat/inbox/working-with-conversations).

A WhatsApp Web linked-device inbox has different rules and is not a substitute for this approved-template workflow. Read [channel choice](https://docs.bow.chat/channels) and [WhatsApp Web safe use](https://docs.bow.chat/whatsapp-web/safe-use) before choosing a transport.
